Auties' Springtime Ant Tips

* If ants seem to make their way on your counter, wipe down all the counter tops with white vinegar.

* If you know where the ants are coming in, sprinkle red pepper or dried mint at the entrance points...This also works in your
cabinets to keep them out.

* Sprinkle used coffee grounds around areas where ants are marching in.

* If you have anthills, pour 3 gallons of hot water down into the anthill. If there are flowers too close, don't use this tip as the
flowers will be killed by the boiling water.

* Mix a combo of 50% borax and 50% confectioner's sugar. Place the mixture on a piece of cardboard or a paper plate near the anthill.
The ants will run like crazy to the sugar, then carry the mixture back to the nest to feed the queen and the colony. They won't last long after their dinner. Be VERY careful with this mixture if you have kids or pets. You don't want them eating it. Borax can be found in the laundry aisle in any grocery store.
